What these technologies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. We also use similar technologies including pixels and tracking beacons, which are tiny images or code snippets that record that a page or email was viewed, local storage in your browser, and software development kits in our mobile application. In this policy we refer to all of them as cookies.
First-party cookies are set by us. Third-party cookies are set by another organisation whose technology we use.
Strictly necessary
These make the website work and cannot be switched off. They are set by Shopify, our e-commerce platform, and by our security providers.
What they do: keep your shopping cart, process checkout, keep you signed in, balance load, remember your consent choices, and protect our forms from automated abuse through hCaptcha and reCAPTCHA.
Typical duration: from the length of your session up to about one year.
Without them the store cannot function, so they are set whatever your other preferences.
Functional
These remember choices you make and enable enhanced features. They are set by Shopify, Gorgias for our support widget, Loox for product reviews, Yotpo for our loyalty programme, GovX for discount eligibility verification, Afterpay for payment options, accessiBe for accessibility tooling, and UFE for checkout offers.
What they do: remember your preferences and region, keep your support conversation, show reviews and loyalty status, verify discount eligibility, and present accessibility settings.
Typical duration: from your session up to about two years.
If you switch these off, some features will not work as intended.
Analytics and performance
These help us understand how our website is used so we can improve it. They are set by Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, Hotjar, Loomi and Shopify's own analytics.
What they do: count visits, measure which pages and products are viewed, measure site performance and errors, run on-site experiments and personalisation, and — through Microsoft Clarity and Hotjar — RECORD WEBSITE SESSIONS, including page views, clicks, scrolling and mouse movement, so we can see where the experience is failing. We configure these tools to mask data entered into form fields.
Typical duration: from your session up to about two years, with session recordings retained for a shorter period.
If you switch these off we lose visibility of how the site performs, but your experience is unaffected.
Advertising and targeting
These are used to deliver advertising relevant to you and to measure whether it works. They are set by Google Ads, Meta, Snapchat, Microsoft Advertising and Hyros.
What they do: recognise your device across websites and apps, build advertising audiences, show you Blue Tees Golf advertising on other platforms, limit how often you see an ad, and attribute purchases to the advertising that led to them.

Technologies in our mobile applications
The GAME application does not use browser cookies but uses similar technologies, including device and advertising identifiers provided by your operating system, local storage, and analytics and crash reporting software development kits. You control app tracking permissions and advertising identifiers in your device settings, through App Tracking Transparency on iOS and Ads settings on Android.
Managing your preferences
COOKIE PREFERENCES — use the Manage Cookie Preferences control on our Your Privacy Choices page or in our website footer. You can change or withdraw consent at any time, and withdrawing is as easy as giving it.
GLOBAL PRIVACY CONTROL — we recognise and honour the GPC signal. If you visit with GPC enabled we treat it as an opt-out of the sale and sharing of personal information for that browser, and we display a confirmation that the signal has been honoured.
BROWSER CONTROLS — every major browser lets you block or delete cookies. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop the store working.
APP CONTROLS — manage tracking permissions and advertising identifiers in your device settings.
DO NOT TRACK — browsers vary in how they implement Do Not Track and there is no common standard, so we do not respond to DNT headers. We do honour the Global Privacy Control.
Third-party technologies
The third parties named in this policy set their own cookies and handle the resulting data under their own privacy policies, which we do not control. The current list of providers is set out in Section 4 of our Privacy Policy.
