Job Summary
We're looking for a hands-on Senior Accountant to help build the next phase of Blue Tees Golf's accounting organization.
Reporting to the Director, Controller, this role will own key operational accounting responsibilities, lead significant portions of the month-end close, support AR/AP operations, strengthen financial controls, and help improve the speed, accuracy, and scalability of the accounting function.
This individual will become a trusted partner to Finance leadership by owning critical accounting processes, mentoring teammates, supporting audits, and identifying opportunities to improve systems and workflows. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced consumer products environment, enjoys solving operational challenges, and is equally comfortable rolling up their sleeves or improving the process for the future.

Key Responsibilities
Month-End Close & Financial Reporting
- Lead assigned portions of the monthly and year-end close, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Own the close across all entities AND compress the timeline through automation, AI, and technology.
- Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring all material accounts are accurate, fully supported, and audit-ready
- Prepare financial statements, variance analyses, and supporting schedules in accordance with U.S. GAAP
- Identify accounting issues proactively and provide well-supported recommendations for resolution
Operational Accounting
- Oversee key accounts receivable and accounts payable activities while serving as a day-to-day resource for the accounting team
- Review journal entries, accruals, and other accounting transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Support collections efforts, monitor AR aging, and help improve DSO while reducing write-offs
- Maintain accurate AP accruals and support timely expense recognition
- Administer the company's Ramp corporate card and expense management platform, including user support, approvals, transaction review, and policy compliance
- Prepare department spend reporting and ad hoc financial analyses for Finance leadership and business partners
Revenue, Inventory & Multi-Entity Accounting
- Support accounting for revenue recognition, deferred revenue, reserves, inventory, landed costs, inventory in transit, accrued purchases, and COGS
- Partner closely with Supply Chain and Fulfillment to ensure accurate inventory accounting and financial reporting
- Support multi-entity accounting, intercompany transactions, consolidations, eliminations, and foreign currency translation
- Assist with accounting for both physical products and software-enabled revenue streams
Audit, Controls & Compliance
- Support external audits by preparing schedules, documentation, reconciliations, and auditor support requests
- Maintain accounting documentation that is clear, complete, and audit-ready
- Help strengthen internal controls, accounting procedures, approval workflows, and master data governance
- Support lender reporting, financing requests, and other financial diligence activities
Leadership & Process Improvement
- Mentor and support accounting team members through review, coaching, and knowledge sharing
- Build strong working relationships across Finance, FP&A, Supply Chain, Fulfillment, HR, and other departments
- Drive accounting automation, workflow improvements, and process enhancements across NetSuite, Ramp, and related systems
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, strengthen controls, and reduce manual work
- Support ERP enhancements, system implementations, and other special projects as needed
Qualifications and Requirements
Required
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, accrual accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls.
- Demonstrated experience participating in or owning month-end and year-end close processes.
- Experience preparing and reviewing journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and financial reporting support.
- Experience supporting accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash management, and general ledger accounting.
- Strong understanding of revenue recognition, deferred revenue, inventory accounting, landed costs, reserves, and cost of goods sold.
- Experience working in a consumer products, manufacturing, wholesale distribution, inventory-based, or eCommerce environment.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Collaborative, humble, and team-oriented approach with a willingness to lead by example.
Preferred
- Experience with NetSuite or a comparable ERP system.
- Experience with Ramp or a comparable expense management platform.
- Experience working in a high-growth, multi-entity environment.
- Experience with intercompany accounting, consolidations, and foreign currency translation.
- Experience supporting external financial statement audits.
- Experience improving accounting processes, internal controls, or close procedures.
- Experience with ERP implementations, system integrations, or accounting automation initiatives.
- Experience with SaaS or software-enabled revenue models.
- Familiarity with sales tax compliance and multi-state reporting.
- Experience preparing technical accounting documentation or memos.
- Previous experience mentoring, reviewing, or providing day-to-day guidance to accounting team members.
Education & Experience
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Three to six years of progressive accounting experience, or two to four years of relevant public accounting experience.
Preferred
- CPA certification.
- Prior experience combining operational accounting and financial reporting responsibilities.
- Experience supporting or leading the month-end close process in a consumer products, manufacturing, wholesale distribution, or eCommerce business.
