GAME App 1.8.0 Update:  New Features, Smarter Golf

The latest update to the GAME App has officially landed — and it’s one of our biggest yet. With version 1.8.0, we’re making it easier (and more fun) to track your rounds, compete with friends, and get smarter about your game. Whether you’re chasing a new personal best or just want more ways to stay connected on the course, there’s something in this update for you.  

Live Leaderboards: Real-Time Rankings, Real-Time Rivalries 

Now you can see how everyone stacks up as it happens. Live Leaderboards update automatically after every hole, giving players a running tally of scores across your group or event. Whether you're tracking a friendly weekend round or hosting a mini-tournament, this feature brings competitive energy to the course in a way that’s social, dynamic, and fun. No need to calculate — just refresh and rally.

Multiplayer Game Modes: More Ways to Play Together 

GAME now supports up to 20 players per round, letting you compete in classic and creative formats like Stroke Play, Stableford, and Modified Stableford. New game types are added monthly based on community votes, giving players more ways to stay engaged and personalize the way they play. Whether it’s bragging rights or just a good time, the new multiplayer experience makes every round more exciting.

Introducing True Distance: Smarter Yardages in Every Condition 

Ever hit a perfect shot that comes up short (or sails long) because of wind, elevation, or temperature? True Distance is here to fix that. This new metric, unique to GAME, calculates “plays like” yardages by factoring in slope, wind speed/direction, humidity, and temperature. Available in both the GAME App and Player+ devices, it’s truly like having a personal caddie — in your pocket.

Advanced Scoring to give you even more data 

Track more than just strokes. With the new advanced scoring widget, you can now log fairway bunkers, green bunkers, penalty strokes (water, OB, unplayable lies), and more. Tap to toggle between simple or advanced modes — and see it all visualized in your post-round analytics.

Simplified Shot Tracking 

Shot tracking just got easier. With the new one-tap shot logging system, you can instantly capture shot distance, club selection, and swing type with a single press. Whether you're mid-round or checking your stats post-game, every swing now syncs to your personalized dashboard with less friction and more accuracy. Available on iOS lockscreen, distance screen, and Playmaker+.

Quick Round Start 

Your home course just got faster. If you’ve played a course before, GAME now remembers your last setup—tees, game mode, foursome, and more. That means you can jump back into a round in as little as two taps, with no need to rebuild your match from scratch. Faster starts. Smarter golf.

Limited-Time Campaigns & Rewards 

We’ve also launched new ways to get rewarded just for using the GAME App. Join limited-time in-app challenges where you can invite friends, rack up points, and unlock exclusive benefits — from store credit to premium memberships and even once-in-a-lifetime golf experiences. These campaigns change regularly, so be sure to keep checking your dashboard for what’s live now.
